The next days are spent travelling among the lonely islands of the Canadian High Arctic and crossing freezing inlets to reach Ellesmere super mario bros Island and Axel Heiberg Island with its famous fossil forest. Weather and ice conditions guide the Expedition Team’s route. Zodiac cruises, ground excursions, sightseeing flights, a wildlife program, and community visits fill the days. Circumnavigate Canada-Newfoundland
The 12-day journey begins in St. John’s, Newfoundland, with the Ocean Endeavor’s sunset departure. The ship passes icebergs, whales, seabirds, lovely settlements, and rocky shores. L’Anse aux Meadows has a rebuilt Viking habitation and Norse ruins. Red Bay Basque Whaling Station in Labrador teaches about 1500s whalers. They hike across Gros Morne National Park to see Bonne Bay. Zodiac across southern Newfoundland’s bays, coves, and communities to see animals. Guests are greeted by local leaders of the First Nations Miawpukek to learn about their community before returning to St. John’s.
Viking Expeditions: Thunder Bay to Milwaukee
The eight-day tour begins in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, where Fort William recreates a 19th-century fur trading post and hikers can uncover Kakabeka Falls. Duluth, Minnesota has the North Shore Scenic Railroad and the St. Louis River. Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands have coniferous woods, dune bogs, lagoons, and sea caves. Discover Houghton, Michigan’s 7,000-year copper mining heritage and descend 370 feet into the Quincy Mine. Hike to Hungarian Falls or kayak with birds. The ship then goes through the Soo Locks in the St. Mary’s River between Lake Huron and Lake Superior before visiting Mackinac Island. Milwaukee is the cruise’s endpoint.
